I moved on and went with Diamond Audio and Velosity speakers, wiring and DSP from American Hardbag. Its all been on the bike for over a year now and I could not be happier.
The guys at American Hardbag know their stuff, shipped everything complete in about three days and their support during my installation process was exceptional. I can highly recommend them.
Thanks, hopefully someone else can benefit from all the replies.
Most guys do not know how to properly adjust a dsp! The hertz neos adjusted properly will blow your mind, not as punchy as some but highs are way crisper than any out there (minus a horn tweater) only spot on a bike you can hear bass is parked anyways, unless you have subs in the bags, then you've defeated the purpose of buying a bagger!
So I have an 2023 SGS that I'm looking to upgrade the system. Leaving head unit and want to upgrade fairing speakers, an amp and add 6x9 bag speakers. Yes I've read alot of posts/replies on here but not convinced what to get. (Cicada yes, Cicada no, Hertz yes hertz no). My current '16 SGS custom had Boom AudioII in fairing and bags. I really liked the sound but was tired of the quality, replacing bag speaker, or fairing speaker or rear amp every year. SO i went with a bagger stereo installer who was highly recommended by many and they installed 6.5 Cicada w/ horn and herts 6x9 in bag with soundigital amp. It sounds ok when stopped but the Cicada or so high while its not enjoyable. They re-tuned it and it sounded better but still not as good as the Boom sound. I don't want the best sound but I want an enjoyable sound when riding! Thanks for any input. Not trying to highjack thread.
