Speaker upgrade questions
2009 Ultra with stock audio system. I am looking to upgrade my speakers and add an amp. Any suggestions out there that won't break the bank? Are Hogtunes products any good? Found a complete plug and play kit for about the same as two sets of speakers and an amp from Crutchfield. Thing is I'm concerned with quality. Obviously a bike specific kit would be easier to install but I'm more concerned with sound quality and longevity over ease of installation.

Plug and play is a gimmick, you still have to remove tank and run power and ground, Pkease dont use hogtunes and upgrade in the same sentence. The best budget system and sounds very good is 4 Mmats PA601.4cx a Stinger SPX700x4 and you will need the Vtwin speaker adapters for the tour pak.

if i just have the two speaker setup would this still work just with 2 speakers? And 2 ch amp?

Yes it would, the price difference from the SPX350x2 and the 700x4 is very little.,
