Default XM on newer bikes
The reception with the standard antenna on my 21 Tri Glide is way better than the one on my 14 with a regular or modified better antenna. I used to lose service in my garage but no more. Now I get 3 bars in the shop.

Glad to hear it is much better.

I have always put my antenna outside - next to the mailbox. Seems to work much better there.

Well after my ride today I might be backtracking a bit. I’m gonna experiment.

Why not just go ahead and put it on the outside - I have had great luck with my last 3 bikes this way.

Where did you mount it? I’m debating making a little bracket for it? I have the fairing 3 compartment pouch, that’s in the way…

Bike is in the garage - under the cover.

But for you, anything - lol. Look to the right of the mailbox.

Interesting - guys here with TriGlides have their mounted in the same place.

Do you already have something like the bags there?
