Default Wired headsets

Does anyone make a good wired helmet headset that has good sound? I've had $10 headphones with better sound than the headset that came with the bike. I have JM head set as well. It's a bit better, but still not as good as the $10 headphones. I really want something that rivals my noise canceling AKG (Harmon Kardon) on ear headphones. The bikes speakers and sound system sound ok sitting still, but I almost can't hear it on the highway with my modular helmet on. That's why I use the headsets. Plus, talking to my wife is much easier with the headsets and VOX. I just want something that sounds good. Any suggestions?

My Harley headsets seem to work just fine for me. I use a 3/4 helmet and my wife uses a half helmet. When I use the music in the helmet, it is a clear as a bell. The GPS also comes through the helmet and that sounds great too.

For the intercom, I sort of agree - there is sometimes wind noise. I just make sure the mic is close to my mouth.

Didn';t oyu make your own speaker system? I somehow recall sending you a set of J&M speakers..

Hearing aid may help. The factory head sets are not that bad.

I did use the speakers you sent. I also bought a new J&M set just see if it was my bad wiring or what. They sounded the same. At first I thought maybe it was just the wind noise over the music that makes them sound so bad to me, but they sound almost as bad sitting still as well. I guess I'm just spoiled by my good headphones I use at work and on the plane. That's why I'm looking for a head set of that quality.

I will say that the sound quality when taking calls seems good. I can't explain that. Even the people I talk to can't tell I'm riding while talking. But music just lacks clarity from the phone, radio and even when I use a USB with music on it. It's muddy and tinny at the same time.

Having the helmet speakers positioned correctly makes a big difference. The closer they are to your ear, and the better aligned with your ear opening, the better the sound will be.

do your current headsets have a 3.5mm stereo jack? Many do allowing you to plug in a pair of low profile earbuds of your choice. I use the S Plugs and they sound amazing and are very comfortable under a helmet.

Now I'm getting ideas. I wonder if it would be feasible to set up a set of those S plugs with this adapter I used to use soemtimes:
3.5MM INTERCOM SYSTEM AUDIO JACKET ADAPTER

I wouldn't have microphone input though. I've been tickles with how well the Google voice control works through Android Auto on this new GTS unit.
