TOHOG, your bike is a 2018, did you upgrade from the 6.5 GT to the GTS? The GTS came out in 2019.
The 6.5 GT has four rubber buttons on the face, the GTS is all glass.
If you did the GTS update NaviFolder has two folder inside, a "fingerprint" folder and a "update" folder. The "update" folder is 11 GB.

Hey - good catch and question. He told us he has the GTS so, we (I) provided the information I had about the GTS.
So, if he has the 6.5, he has to use that software. Also, I am curious as to if he used the bike's fingerprint to download the latest maps, how could he have downloaded software for the GTS?

That is also a good question.
They both have a different "toolbox" to get the updates.
I have a 2015 with the GTS (upgrades in 2020) but get my bikes Fingerprint from the GTS for the GTS Toolbox.
That would be a shame if he paid for the Map update and it was for the wrong radio/ infoitment.
Yes. I upgraded from 6.5 to GTS. I selected GTS FOR THE DOWNLOAD from the toolbox.
Great catch. But I did an update previously and it was ok. Of course I need to double check the last map update was for this radio and not my 6.5. Navis website will have record and I will check later and report.
All this support is great. Also have a ticket with MOCO but they are S L O W.

When I did my map update last Friday, my screen went blank for 30 seconds or so, I was like uh oh... but it came back and all is well. That 30 seconds was like an eternity.
I did use the bike's fingerprint to download the new Map software.
I did use the GTS toolbox to download the software.
I can't tell from the invoice if the actual file that came to me was for the GTS though. Maybe it is incorrect? On Naviextra's Website my account shows two radios and I can't tell which is which. But I do know I selected to update the GTS and to download. Something someone pointed out was the size of the download file. Mine downloaded and installed on the flash drive in 5-6 minutes. Then syncronized and told me all was ok and then to exit. So, IMHO it seems to lead to one of two things:
1) Downloaded files were corrupt somehow
2) My Unit is somehow screwed in the Nav section. Other functions work, Media, radio, XM, Apple Carplay, just NO Harley Databases.
TOHOG - thanks for clearing that up. I looked at my invoice and it does not tell me what map "system" was downloaded (6.5 or GTS). It just says for the map of North America. I might agree that such information would be helpful.
I also went back to my instructions and pull the file that told me how to download and began the install. Did you get these same instructions?
Specifically, look at the software version that is required before you start the process - M20.19.38.00 or higher.
Glad to hear that all else is working. Remember I told you that if seemed that my download took forever (and I have a pretty fast computer and connection) - think you said your download was only about 5-6 minutes. I wonder if you got the complete download?
So, I put my map flash in my PC and took a picture of the download. Please take a look at my file numbers (sizes) and complre that to your download.
With my map download, the current dealer database was downloaded also. 2024-1 (I think)
It took about 45 minutes to download and then build/transfer maps to the flash drive.

Thanks - did you take a moment and check the flash drive? Compare the files and size to what I shared?
