I am attempting to install a system into my bike and I'm really struggling....
I have a 2016 road glide ultra. Among the many questions I have, one of them is where to plug in the blue remote wire from the amp to the head unit? I talked to the company and they said to plug it in to the "empty" connection on the right side of the bike.
The problem I am having is I rand the power cords from the battery to the fairing. I connected the cables to the amp and I have no power to the amp. The rep I spoke with said to connect the remote wire to the empty connection on the bike. There are two empty connections. I tried using both and still got no power to the amp. I've checked the fuses, they are all good. I used a voltameter to make sure there was power to the cables, there is. I'm at a loss. I attached two photos. One is of the remote connection from the power cords/amp, the other is of the two connections on the bike. I don't even know if those are the right ones. Or if I need to connect the remote wire somewhere else. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
The connector you want is the one on the brake side. Did you check the inline fuse in the positive cable for the amp?
I did. It was good too.
I'll attempt to plug it in on the brake side and see what happens. I plugged it in to both of them before posting this and nothing happened. Which makes me think something else is wrong.
The plug for the remote wire you are wanting to locate and use is on the brake side by the turn signal/marker light plug you had to disconnect when removing the fairing.
On the opposite side of the power wire going into the amp is a switch. Make sure the switch is in the REM position and NOT the DC or VOX.

OMG! I feel like an idiot. I had literally tried everything. Searched forums, watched videos, EVERYTHING! I hadn't tried changing the settings on the switch. I switched it to REM and turned the ignition on, BAM! I have power! Thanks bro. I was going fkn crazy. I'm pretty good at figuring things out, but this really had me stumped. Much appreciated!!!
