Default 2008 Street Glide Audio Set Up

Hey guys, I’m needing some help. I’m looking to upgrade my audio system on my bike. As it sits right now, I have 2 5.25 factory fairing speakers, two 6.5 touring pack speakers (not sure what brand) that came with an aftermarket touring pack, and a sound stream reserve whd.sg radio. I’ve read where the first thing I need to do is change the 5.25’s out to 6.5’s which I plan to do. I’m wanting a nice clean sounding set up. Not looking to get into competitions. I’d just like something that could turn some heads when I pull up somewhere. Now my problem is… there are so many different brands that I can’t tell who’s better than who. I know cicada is probably going to be the best but I can’t afford $400 per speaker. I’m currently looking at ground zero, hertz, sundown, arc, etc. brands. Also, what amp would be the best to put on this bike? Thank you in advance for all your input.

Dgoodwin.
I can tell you that doing the audio can be a deep rabbit hole. But, there are many options.
I was in the same boat as you. I wanted something that wouldn't break the bank but still sound good going down the road at 70. Plus turn some heads.
So here is what I went with a couple years ago.

Kenwood head unit (non CD)
Stinger 700-watt amp.
Mmat Pa601CX 6.5" speakers in the fairing and in the tourpack boxes.

I kicked around speakers for a long time. Ground zero's, Hertz, Mmat, Cicada etc. I ended up going with Mmat's because of the price. (119 each)

I wanted to keep all the room in the saddle bags. So, did not go with bag speakers. Sounds pretty good in my opinion. Nice and loud but didn't break the bank.
I can honestly say that I can hear this set up at any and all speeds going down the road.

I hope that helps.
