No, HD does not include the wiring for rear speakers on an Electra Glide Classic or any other non-Ultra radio-equipped model.

You can buy the wiring harness from HD to run your rear speakers. There should be an empty place on the back of your stock radio for it to plug into.

If you are using HD's rear speakers and want the HD parts to connect them on your EGC, you'll need two harnesses. For connecting to the speakers, you'll need p/n 77157-06 which carries the wiring from the speakers to inside the fairing. Then you'll need the non-Ultra overlay harness, p/n 70169-06 to connect the speaker harness (HD calls it the "audio harness" IIRC) to the HK head unit. The first lists for about $97; and the second about $120.

With the help of the parts book, you can buy the connectors and pins/sockets that go onto the ends of the wires for insertion into the connectors for a lot less, as well as buying ordinary speaker wire.

Default rear speaker question

I have a 09 Road Glide that I installed the cb radio in last year. I am installing the lowers and speakers to the bike. I purchased the non ulta overlay harness when I installed the cb. I have all the brackets etc for the lowers (lower at the painters). Do I need another harness to hook the lower speakers to the rear speaker? I had the bike flashed for the fader control last week. Thanks for any help.

When I installed the 2011 CVO SG speaker boxes on my bike, I used the same harnesses from the speakers to the fork neck used on the CVO. It required additional connectors to mate with them at the fork neck. The part nos. and description are in this thread:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ed-w-pics.html

You don't have to use the HD harnesses from the speakers; I did to provide a quick disconnect.

You will need to access the rear speaker pinouts with additional wiring from those pinouts to the speakers in the fairing lowers. You can do it using the passenger connectors (they're labeled) on the NUOH since they also contain the rear speaker wiring, splicing the rear speaker wires at the 35 wire connector, or removing the rear speaker wires from the 35 wire connector and replacing them with wires going directly to the fairng lower speakers in which case you'd need the sockets that go on the end of the wires prior to insertion into the 35 wire connector.

Good luck with your project.
