Default Harley stereo/cb

Not sure what forum to use for this so I will try here. I have a FLSTF that I have added a fairing to which includes a radio. I would like to have the ability to use a cb on it mainly while traveling but would be nice for some of the group rides I do as well. I was looking at J&M cb's as an option but I would prefer not to have to mount to my handlebars. It seemes the only stereo/cb combo is a harley setup so i was wondering if anyone knew what it would take to use one of those. Basically I would prefer to keep it simple as I have tried to make anything i add to the bike quick disconnect. I thought I would mount the headset connection right on the fairing rather than on a tank panel. I figured if I needed handlebar controls I would look into adding connectors on them to make them quick disconnect as well. But I have no idea what wiring or any additional parts I would need. Can anyone tell me if this can be done and what I would need to do it.
