Arrow Poly-fil question about speakers

I'm just wrapping up my winter project. I've installed a PBR300x2 amp and a pair of Hertz (HCX-165) in my Roadglide fairing. Sounds great so far.
My question;

How much Poly-fil did you put around your speakers & how do you hold in to the back of the speakers? I bought a bag of the stuff and trying to keep it in place ain't easy. I tried a pastic cable tie. I can see that slipping off once the fairing is back together. I don't think I want to pack it in so tight that it touches the back of the speaker cone (or any moving part). I do have a dynamatt pad on the iside of my fairing. Is the Poly-Fil even necessary? I figure it can't hurt.

I want to thank everyone here for all the threads and tips on setting up this system!

I used it out of an old pillow.... about 1" thick.

Two long tie wraps keep it in place.

It makes a noticable difference.

Thanx Beav. I bought a bag of the stuff at a local craft store, it looks different then your pillow material. My stuff is all loose, like a bunch of cotton *****. Your material looks like a sheet of material? I may have to cut into one of my pillows.

Did you 'under penalty of law' remove your tags? I won't tell a soul.

Yes... the pillow poly is "layered," and folds back over itself. Peels apart in layers about 1" thick (perfect.)

NO, I DID NOT REMOVE THE TAGS! Nobody can prove it.... and I'll deny it 'till my dyin' day!

I was on my way to Wal-Mart, stopped at a craft store and bought the wrong stuff. Going straight to Wal-Mart for the correct stuff(ing). Thanx.

My wife still won't let me cut open a pillow; we only have about 100 of them...
