I'm just wrapping up my winter project. I've installed a PBR300x2 amp and a pair of Hertz (HCX-165) in my Roadglide fairing. Sounds great so far.
My question;
How much Poly-fil did you put around your speakers & how do you hold in to the back of the speakers? I bought a bag of the stuff and trying to keep it in place ain't easy. I tried a pastic cable tie. I can see that slipping off once the fairing is back together. I don't think I want to pack it in so tight that it touches the back of the speaker cone (or any moving part). I do have a dynamatt pad on the iside of my fairing. Is the Poly-Fil even necessary? I figure it can't hurt.
I want to thank everyone here for all the threads and tips on setting up this system!
Thanx Beav. I bought a bag of the stuff at a local craft store, it looks different then your pillow material. My stuff is all loose, like a bunch of cotton *****. Your material looks like a sheet of material? I may have to cut into one of my pillows.
Did you 'under penalty of law' remove your tags? I won't tell a soul.
its back in the arts and crafts section where the material is. and yes they sell 2 different kinds. Make sure to get the layered as Beav pointed out above.
