Default Wrapping spkrs w/ Poly-Fil

So I've read quite a bit on the audio forum regarding wrapping the rear of the speakers with this foam stuff from Walmart. I think I will do it but can't really envision how to. What holds it in place around the speakers? UltraNutz said to make a cocoon around them but wouldn't that sort of vibrate off?
Pics would be helpful and thanks very much.

Default Update:

So just after I posted the original question, I found this response from UltraNuts dating back to 2011:

you don't want to pack it in there as it totally defeats the purpose. too much is worse. just get some spray glue and lay a piece about 3" thick, maybe 10 - 12" square on the inside of the fairing behind the speaker. spray just enough glue on it to make it stick and no more. yes you are correct, it's woven together just like fiber is.

Now I gather that you'd get a chunk of Poly-Fil and glue it to the front shell of the batwing, behind the speaker correct? So it isn't really even touching the speakers is it?

just use an old pillow with poly fill. stuff it loosely around the speakers and the outer fairing will hold it in. works pretty well.

many different ways to skin a cat.

most don't want to glue this to their fairings including myself.

in a batwing fairing, take 3 pieces of the thin stuff 15x15 square. wrap it around the speaker and tuck it into the front where the adapter ring is. When you put the outer fairing back on it will stay in place.

on a road glide fairing, you'll have to secure it with tie wraps around the speaker

In my case I don't use the adapter rings, I have the 6x9 Polk speakers to install, rings not needed. Nothing to fix the foam to in my mind. Might have to glue to front half of batwing. Wife says try if first without foam and see if it will require mods.

Always helps when you tell everyone what you're installing. What fairing are you installing 6x9s into?

The standard Reckelss batwing I got off eBay UltraNutz. 6X9 Polk audios are going into her.

I would still wrap them. You'll notice a big difference with bass especially with a 6x9. 3 layers of the thin stuff big enough to wrap them with. A couple of zip ties together should be big enough to go around the frame of the 6x9 to hold it in place.
