Does anyone know the dimensions for the allen screws holes (Bolts) that screw into the sides of the radio ? It is the ones (4) that hold the radio in place. The reason I need the information is that I'm making a set of brackets to mount an amp above the radio. I think I have come up with a really good setup, I wont know until I finish with them.
Thanks
I"m sorry I meant to say the distance between the holes on each side.
Thanks for the response fxlowboy.
I need to know where to drill the holes for the bolts to go through in the bracket into the radio
There is am excellent bracket from Scott Ezzell that many here have used.
It uses the two screws at the front, has 4 tangs that capture the grommets in the.bracket atop the radio, and uses the 4 radio bolts to secure. He has a couple variations depending on the application. The way it mounts provides a space between the radio and bracket.
Yeah I really like his mount design. While I was studying his design I had an idea. My design doesnt take into account for any radio addons like the CB module or Ipod unit, but I think if anyone doesnt have these that mine would work. I dont know yet I'm still working on them. When and if I get them to work I will post a picture and see what you guys think.
Thanks
