Unless an amp is CEA certified I'd take all power claims with a grain of salt. Without a +/- db reference speaker response claims are useless as well. Just another day in the world of audio marketing!
Edit... Seems the Massive amp IS certified?? Now wazzup with that, maybe it is the real deal.....?
A quick search showed this unhappy review, apparently the amp is overrated in power. Something about rating it with a speaker load instead of a resistor, which is allowed under CEA rules. Now I don't know about this amp, OR CEA certification.
