Ipod cutting out

Not sure if this helps but..........I had an issue last week with the ipod not playing when I went to ipod on the HK radio and it would not display song name and artisit. Also I could not scroll through the songs at all. I run my ipod back in my saddle bag and it ended up being the long DIN cable. I found this out by switching out the long cable with a brand new short one to test. Just got the new cable last night and all is well. Bottome line it was the wiring in the cable. Just wanted to post what happened to me.

Very much appreciate the input. Come to think of it. The plastic housing on the iPod cable plug end came apart. I have it munged together and it seems it's only real purpose is aesthetic but...
