Get the Sony DSX-S310BTX ...................the extra $$$$ will be worth the Bluetooth option !!
Totally don't agree. I would take any water proofed option when available especially when it comes to audio components being run in conditions continuously exposed to the elements.
a common misnomer sir. Marine head units will not take any more abuse than a standard radio and they come at the expense of giving up features and functionality.
Think about what gets wet first. The face. The face on a marine unit is no more protected than a standard head unit is. The only thing that makes it "marine" is a conformal coating on the internal circuit board. That's it!
Do yourself a favor and get the radio that you want with the features that you want.

Just seems like it's pretty much the same radio, just one can take full on water.
NO RADIO can take full on water....................See if they have a lifetime guarantee against water damage. If they can take 'full on water',.....it should,........RIGHT ???? Good luck with that !!
One thing a lot of people don't think about...I installed a marine grade Sony receiver in my Street Glide and my father in law installed a non marine Sony. I can see my display in direct sunlight (marine are designed for that) and he has a hard time seeing his in sunlight. Just another thing to consider.
