I thought the bezel on the Hawg Wired filled that gap so the splash guard could not push in far enough.

I do prefer the radio cradle that Hawg Wired makes.

Have never heard this, but could be true, with that plastic bezel.

It is a fact. The biketronics splash cover seals deeper into the opening at approximately the same place that the Hawg Wired bezel sits. Hawg Wired has a very nice splash cover designed to fit with their bezel but it is about 5X the price of the Biketronics cover.

I think I will stick with the Biketronics kit then.

This DS235B Splash Guard is the ultimate tool for keeping your aftermarket radio safe in the rain or washing your ride. Machined out of black polycarbonate and then polished to a high gloss finish with a tinted transparent viewing window, the DS235B not only functions well but looks great doing it. The DS235B requires no modification to your inner fairing and simply presses in for a water tight seal.

Looks like a quality item, but DAMN $99?!?

ouch. They added in the BT splash guard for free when i bought all my gear from biketronics... Definitely think one is a good idea - too bad the BT splash guard doesn't work w/ the HW kit!

Without a doubt it is quality. I have had both the Biketronics and Hawg Wired installation kits. The quality of the Hawg Wired bezel and cradle are second to none. The module from Biketronics is the way to go IMO due to the AVC. I was bummed to learn the Biketronics splash cover did not fit but with a little saran wrap I am able to get by during washes. In the rain, I just ride faster so the rain stays in front

$99 for a piece of plastic isn't happening.
