Anybody hear the new 7x10 Focals? I was on the cvo forum and some guy fit them in the Harley lids. I talked to Kevin at Dragonfly and he said that they ROCK! He also said you can hear the bass and feel it after you start the bike unlike subs. Im just looking to add them to my system. I have Focal K2 in the fairing and ic165 in the tour pack pods. The K2 are awesome!
Had a couple buddies listen to them at Laughlin River Run.....Don't know how they were amped, but were told they didn't compare to the Pioneers that we run, which after seeing the specs, I kinda figured..
I GUARANTEE you that they don't sound like 2 of the 10" subs !! Anyone that said that has ZERO credibility in the audio world.
The frequency only goes down to 55hz,................ the Pioneers go down to 28hz.... If you are running some power...................the Pioneers are the way to go......if you want bass !!
You are correct in the fact that the K2's are awesome !!!

The 7x10 are the best I've seen (heard) in this application. There are by no means a pair of 10" sub's, and they need power to really shine. I have not heard the Pioneer's so can't tell you what the difference would be. As far as the amp, we have been running the Arc 125.4 bridged. It is almost double the recommended RMS power, but they really sound great in this combination.

You need to try a set of the Pioneers................frequency is WAY lower that the Focal 7 X 10. That's what bag speakers are all about,...........BASS........
You won't be disappointed,....and the price is right !!!
I have a set coming now from a friend. I don't know how a 6X9 can play 28 Hz though (at least where it can be heard at volume w/o getting cone slap). 18" subs barley make it to 40HZ. IMO the Focal 7X10 is not even getting close to the 50Hz claimed, we also use the electronic crossover in the amp to run them at approximately 100-110 Hz to keep from the cone bottoming out.
