I am sure that is easy to do if one tries hard enough. was that when you were experimenting with the bridging?

yeppers... still can't bridge that amp.. can bridge the 2.350d just fine..

After reading the responses and also seeing a slight trend with the setup from what others have said maybe I should try something new or maybe I just had bad luck. Do I swap out the amp or the speakers? The amp would be easiest to do obviously. Who runs 4 Polk MM651's and what amp do you use if you've had good luck. I will say that I purchased my speakers from Sonic Electronix and they were effortless to deal with and they've already shipped out a new pair, great service.

been running MM651s for over 2 years (same 2 pair) and on the SS 520D for quite sometime (at least 6 or 8 months) now and nary an issue. Also running a set of Pioneer TS-D6902R 6x9s in the lids with a SS 350D

Must be my bad luck then UltraNutZ, my 3 month old CFR's are peeling chrome and rusting at the welds too. Thanks again

have you pulled the speakers out yet? are the tweeter posts angled or straight?

The system on my 2006 Road Glide is: HU=Sony MEX-BT4100P, Amp=RF PBR300x2, 2 fairing speakers=Polk MM651. The crossover switch was set to AP. The gain was set to 7. I seem to have blown the right speaker. I seem to be getting faint tweeter sound out of the speaker. The tweeter post is straight. I swapped connections and isolated the problem to the speaker. The woofer cone seems to be separated from the circuitry. When I gently depress the woofer cone toward the back of the speaker, something makes contact and the speaker seems to be playing at a normal level. When I release the cone, back to low level high frequency. Interesting theory on a bad run of speakers unless we are all setting them up wrong. Hopefully sonicelectronix will be responsive when I contact them tomorrow.
