Hello all, just installed the Boom audio ipod interface module kit (part # 76476-10) from Harley on my 2013 Ultra Classic Limited. Everything works as advertised except now the backlight on the radio face does not come on. I have checked all the wiring again to make sure that none of the pins are damaged or pushed out. Eveything looks ok. If anyone can help me resolve this issue I would greatly appreciate it. Not sure if there may be a fuse controlling this light or not? Also if anyone has a wiring diagram showing the breakdown of the 35 pin radio connector that might help me identify which wire controls the backlight. Thanks!!!
Billy,
Welcome to the cheap world of HK radios. Harley will replace it under warranty with another just like it, with the same problem. Hows that for service?
Sometimes the data will come back on when you drag two fingers across the screen.
LOL.. sounds like the voice of experience talking...

I have not tried that but sounds like a good idea. A guy from Iron Cross Audio told me that the light is internal in the radio and no wiring controls it. He said it is an internal defect.
I have the same problem with my 2013 Road Glide Stereo. Backlight is not coming on? Everything else works perfect. Anyone have an idea of what could be wrong? Thanks
