Yes, I put polyfill and made a custom set of boxes behind the speakers. Either way I was not satisified. Now you can probly contribute this to the the fact that I am expecting more than can be delivered from a small set of speakers, and not going to be happy until I put a small fortune in the system. I don't know... However I will let you know once the Biketronics BT7P1 7.1 are installed... As you already know... Moderation is not in the nature of a Cajun.. LOL
sounds like saddlebag lids are in your future. :-)
The BT and the Polks are both great sounding speakers albeit each with their own characteristics. The BT will certainly out perform the polks on the bottom end and the mids and highs are pretty darn good as well. They're just 2 totally different sounding speakers.
Ok i know what everyone else is gonna say "polks" but i was wanting to hear from anyone not running the polks and how they like there speakers.
I have a stock head unit with Arc 125.2 right now im running alpine speakers they sound ok but im getting 6.5 adapters and been looking at several speakers.I do plan on upgrading my head unit. not liking the $140 price tag on the polks.
06 Cummins,
Not trying to persuade you in any way but I have been to UltraNutz house and heard his system in person. It does sound really good, and also loud. What may sound good to me may not appeal to you at all. Not trying to sell you on any specific speaker just stating a fact about hearing UltraNutz system in person and liking it. I have the BT7P1 Biketronics 7.1 speakers on order. I currently have the Kenwood KIV701 head unit, ARC KS125.2 mini amp, Arc 6.5'' speakers and have been running that system for 4 years now and the speakers are finally giving up on me. Just waiting on the 7.1s to get here.
I just looked at the BT7.1 and im really thinking about getting them now. Acutally thinking of getting the package deal with stereo and speakers with all the hook ups.
Ultra would you recommend still wrapping the 7.1s with poly fill?
yes sir.. thin layered polyfil, 3 layers thick, 12x12" sqaure is perfect for each side.
I know Bill doesn't like the polyfil but with and without it is a noticeable difference in keeping that low end bass response nice and tight..

Thanks Ronnie
Yeah im set on the 7.1 just wanna find the right stereo to go with it. i dont listen to CDs so was thinking media player. BT doesnt have a big selection of radios. so i might just buy everything separate.
Biketronics is going to have the Sony line only because that's what is more compatible with both the biketronics and hawg wired controllers. If you don't see the Sony radio you want, call Bill directly at Biketronics and tell him what you want and it will be included in your order.
