Ok i know what everyone else is gonna say "polks" but i was wanting to hear from anyone not running the polks and how they like there speakers.
I have a stock head unit with Arc 125.2 right now im running alpine speakers they sound ok but im getting 6.5 adapters and been looking at several speakers.I do plan on upgrading my head unit. not liking the $140 price tag on the polks.
I don't know anything about those speakers but if ya like the sound that is really all that counts. The only way to pick speakers is to listen to them. That said I went with JL C2 speakers and when one blew went with Polk mm651s. The Polks are more efficient but I still like the C2 sound. They both sound the same at 80mph.
Yea, I just a installed with my rockford fosgate 300x2 amp and a set of polks. The difference is day and night from factory. However the system is great sitting still but at 70 mph it still lacking in my opinion. The polks don't seem to handle the higher volume even with the amp set low. So I ordered the Biketronics BT7P1 7.1 Titan II. I will install them when they come in within the next week or two. Ask Ultranut, he is the expert here and seems to know alot about setting up these systems right...Most of us seem to be flying by the seat of our pants when it comes to audio and it's trial and error... I burned a 150.00 on a set of polks and should have got the BT7P1 7.1 titan II's the 1st time. Ohh well live and learn...Just don't make the same mistake as me. Spend the money right the 1st time...

I just looked at the BT7.1 and im really thinking about getting them now. Acutally thinking of getting the package deal with stereo and speakers with all the hook ups.
Ultra would you recommend still wrapping the 7.1s with poly fill?
You haven't heard the BT speakers yet but you're already recommending them? I'm sure they are good speakers, but how do you know they are better than the Polks if you haven't installed them yet? 70 MPH will be tough on any speaker, I hope the BTs live up to your expectations.
Pool boy, I am not recommending anything to anybody. Only stating the facts. I got the polks and they are ok but not worth the money in my opinion, as far as I am concerned, so I just purchased the Titan II's. Once they come in and I put a few miles on them, I will review them. I only stated that you get what you pay for...... Had I spent the extra money on what most recommended I would have saved a bit of money...
Yes, I put polyfill and made a custom set of boxes behind the speakers. Either way I was not satisified. Now you can probly contribute this to the the fact that I am expecting more than can be delivered from a small set of speakers, and not going to be happy until I put a small fortune in the system. I don't know... However I will let you know once the Biketronics BT7P1 7.1 are installed... As you already know... Moderation is not in the nature of a Cajun.. LOL
