have used DSPs in other bike systems but not on a rushmore so can't confirm your thinking but my thinking is right in line with yours. A DSP should take care of the issues without regard to the actual flash version, at least in my feeble mind.
Was wondering if anyone has tried the new software update .I installed yesterday and it seems to be close to the same sound as 19.0 but fixes a few issues.
Still has low bass at speed but nowhere as bad as 19.2..
Opinions needed..

As with the previous software updates the results have been mixed. As long as you don't detect any distortion and is sounds good while running you should be OK.
I removed the boom audio from my 14 cvo limited . and put two fosgate pbr300x2 amps and polk audio 651mm speakers . now it sounds worse than factory . what did I do wrong . volume will not turn up without clipping amps .

I'm assuming you have the gains adjusted right? Almost sounds like you have the gain cranked.
1) you didn't introduce yourself properly in the "welcome section"
2) did you purchase the biketronics line levelers for your amp install?
3) also did you verify the way you mounted the speakers, the rubber surrounds are not touching the inner fairing holes?
you can't just throw an amp on these new systems like you used to be able to do because of DSP

I don't have a CVO but that's exactly what I did - just a RF amp and two new speakers. The sound/volume was significantly improved for me over stock....but think it should actually be better than it is.
