hehe.. you'll have more trouble sticking Velcro on your amp and mounting it than you will getting the tank off. It's easy...
2 bolts in front of the tank at the neck under black rubber covers
2 bolts under the nose of the seat at the back of the tank
quick disconnect fuel line. Push up on the chrome sleeve and pull down on the connector and it pops right out and you spill maybe 2 drops of fuel. slide tank back about 2" and lift it off. Best to do when tank is not full so ride it! :-)
reverse procedure to assemble
5-6 gallons of gas is pretty awkward and heavy in the tank. Don't ask how I know LoL
Sidecar Cycles in Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada has Lid Spkr kits for the 2014 models. I know they built some for a CVO and made molds to sell the kits. The final product is in the design/build phase. I saw the set on the 2014 CVO and it looked great!
That's also where you can get Adapters for the Batwing, Lowers and Rear Pods.
I used 6 - 6.5" Hawg Wired Spkrs and 2 (300W for 2 rear and a 400W for 4 front spkrs.) Hawg Wired Amps and it looks and sounds great! I have lower spkrs on a Twin Cooled bike and no bag lid spkrs at this time.
Are the lids for 6x9's? I'd like to see some pics of your setup too!

Cycle Sounds ranted and raved just as the 14s came out that they were releasing a kit to allow 6x9s to be installed in the fairing. Well that never transpired as I expected from them.
However they now show on their website a picture of 6x9 lids for the 14 models with a note saying "preorder shipping in 2-3 weeks".
Tired of waiting on BikeTronics,so installed PBR300/2 AND 4 Kicker CS 6.5 speakers and wired them in parallel and it sounds good gains set at 7 and only go about half volume, amp gets a little warmer than I like but guess thats normal.Sucks because john at BT said their gonna be on the market in the real near future. But for under $350 for amp, speakers, amp install kit,and amp mounting bracket I have 5 times better than stock. Happy for now.
