ok great, thanks for the feedback. in regards to the b-tronics gear. will the 2180 amp be able to support if I do speaker lids down the road? also will it be fine even though I listen to FM radio a lot too... is it plug n play for the 14? thanks for the help and feedback
As long as all the speakers are 4 ohm yes it will do 4 speakers. It is not plug and play but the guys at Biketronics will give you all the help you need and then some!

Can someone tell me the harley speaker lid part number?
for a 2014?
I don't think anyone has released a speaker lid for 14s yet, but I believe (at least according to their site, Cycle Sounds will be releasing their lids soon.
if pre 14 you're asking about, do yourself a favor; save your money and get the Hogtunes 6x9 lids.

Went to an HD info system lecture. Had some great new upgrades. Problem for me is I now wear hearing aids. After about 60 mph I start getting a crackling noise no matter how good a system I have. All sound great when I'm not moving or at slow speed. Lucky for me I would rather listen to the engine noise and not the radio.
Ok big change for me. I just came across a good lead on J&M so.... John if you're reading this or someone who has 14 experience when I jump on J&M website and select 14 I get their performance series 180 or 360 amps. I eventually will add lids. What I'm wanting to know is the 180 enough for that down the road?! It'll be far down the road but I want to be able to potentially be able to upgrade and not have to worry about having to buy a different amp etc... I don't think I can afford the 500w amp. Just checking in. Thanks for all the help gentlemen
If you are using JM speakers keep in mind they are 2 ohm speakers and most amps are only stable down to 2 ohms so you will have to have a channel for each speaker or run them in series and get less of a draw on the amp. Not knocking the speakers just wanted you to get a 4 channel amp to run them
