Default 6.5 Boom Cell Phone Popping

I hope this is the right place to post as this is the first time seeking assistance.

I never had the speaker popping in my new Ultra Limited that I see posted all of this site; however, I do have intermittent "static popping" during cell phone usage. The popping doen't happen all the time and only I can hear it on my side but it is loud enough to be extremely annoying. Yes, I already updated the latest software and it did not fix the problem.

I saw one post that said to look for any frayed wires in the truck under the metal base plate on there were none. I have paired and unpaired the phone several times with no luck. Please don't harass my phone usage as most of it is ratting out stupid drivers to my highway patrol friends.

I have an iPhone 5 and just did the latest software update but that didn't change anything either.

They will bolt right up, "BUT" the foam surround ring protrudes into the fairing opening with no clearance and is making contact with the fairing opening. It appears to me that when the grills are installed there will be even less clearance and more contact with the foam surround.
Anyone know what this will do to the performance of the speaker??

I now have the grills installed, and still getting good decent sound quality from the Infinity 62.11i,
"but" the foam surround is making contact to the point it is partially deforming the ring and must be restricting movement to some degree.
I am not sure if this affects speaker performance or if it will damage the speakers, but the system sounds great right now and I can hear it at any speed. My only problem so far, is my wife keeps telling me to turn it down.

I'm glad it's sounding good but anything that impedes the excursion of the speaker cone is not good for it and will cause premature failure of the speaker. I'd say you gotta get some space in between those puppies.

and not to be redundant, but this is the exact reason that J&M has designed our 2014 Harley speakers like this http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....CRK-6652TW-RXX ,,,,,, with the inverted rolled edge, so that NO part of the moving speaker cone ever comes in contact with the inside fairing structure ,,,,,

Ok cool so your speaker doesn't make contact with the inner fairing, but why do you keep pushing a product that you yourself have changed the available date like three times now. I understand it's your company and it's your job to promote your product, I applaud you for that but what's with the delay?

no one is more disappointed with the delays of our new 6.65" speakers for the 2014s than I ,,,,,,,, but I wanted to make sure they were right before release ,,,,,,

shipping started this past Monday ,,,,,,,, and all backorders should be caught up by later this month ,,,,,,

on the positive side, these new J&M ROKKER XX speakers for the 2014s really do rock-n-roll ,,,, you won't be disappointed ,,,,,,,

My 2014 Limited now has a Hawg Wired 6 speaker system with 2 amps.
V-Twin Audio here in Port Coquitlam, BC used my bike to make speaker adapters/grills for the 6.5 speakers in the lowers and the rear pods. We put a 300w to run the rear and 400w for the 4 front speakers. Check their website for the products that are now available from them.

Keep in mind I have the Twin Cooled and needed larger adapters for the lowers. Nice job and sounds great. Yes we talked last week about opening the enclosure with venting. Should have time for that this week. The Hawg Wired have monster magnets and are marine grade. I ride all weather, year round.

Check my profile albums for pics.

PS
I was told to keep the HU as a 2 speaker or you lose the fader. Is that the only loss? If you get even better sound than I already do with the Boom, 4spkr flash and that's the only loss then I'll have the flash done.

Thanks for your help guys.

I have two Focal amps running 4 Focal speakers "two up front and two in rear pods" I had my Limited flashed for factory two amp setup and still have full fade. Sounds incredible too!! I had mine flashed before install and had fade then as well. I posted pictures. The flash will make it sound better.
