Pioneer.. It does. It was chaffing on inner fairing. I noticed it when I put new bars on it. Harley just called and it turns out I'm just an idiot though. While the cable had been rubbing on inner fairing it wasn't leaking. It was just the nut that connects the cable to the leaver housing was loose! Cable has been rerouted and should be fine now.
Per my question, I had them flash the radio to the two amp setup while it's there. I should get my BT4180 and Titan II speakers today!! Looking forward to getting it all installed before the Laughlin run in 2 weeks. I will see if John will let me put it side by side with his at the J&M trailer? That could get interesting.
I'm interested in the results of the audio shootout. I'm going to buy a 2014 ultra limited this year, and I'm trying to figure out what is the best bang for the buck. After reading through this thread, it sounds like John from JM believes he has the best setup hands down, as he has stated at least 30 times on this thread.
I like the plug and play idea for the amp, but the warranty is a bit scary. I've had a Sound stream in my 07 and have never had a lick of trouble with it. I wouldn't mind moving it over to the 14 too, so that's always an option.
I guess I'm most interested in what speakers will just pop in and fit without mods, and this thread is very hard to follow for that information. Might be nice to have a new sticky that lists the options that will work, without all the brand loving and battles about what's best.
I probably won't by JM just based on all the JM posts. If you have to defend and tout a product that much, makes me wonder why. I haven't seen another vendor on here doing that. Guess they don't need to. Most of the time, products speak for themselves.

To anyone with a Rockford PBR300X2. If you want to have the radio flashed for an AMP you have to connect the remote power. After they flash the radio there isn't enough of a signal to turn on the amp. I connected that and had them flash it for (Speakers: 2 Speakers/1 AMP and Options: 1 AMP). Now I have no distortion at full volume. Thanks to scarin for that solution.
What do you have your gain set at? What do you have your crossover set at? Should be AP on the amp.
I have the same set up and I have my gain set correctly and I have no distortion. I am running power and ground direct to the battery, but no need to run any other wires to the amp.
I was told no reason to have it flashed UNLESS you are using boom audio amp.

My cross over is set to AP and the gain is set at 7. There is an internal AMP of sorts in the radio. Harley tweaked the DSP in order to get better sound with the stock speakers. I can tell you without a doubt that after the flash there was a night and day difference. The flash disables the DSP tweak. I had an MP3 that I was using as the judge of the sound, Under and Over It by Fiver Finger Death Punch. Before the flash I had distortion at 1/4 volume and the gain was set at 5. After the flash I have no distortion at full volume with the gain set at 7. The sound is crisper and the bass is deeper. But in order for the AMP to turn on after the flash you have to wire up remote power. If you do it you'll be glad you did.

did you adjust the voltage control for the speaker input on the front of the amp? This is what turns the amp off and on with speaker level inputs.

My gain is a little over 5 right now and I can go full volume on FM radio stations with no distortion. I just wish the system was a little louder. If I put the gain at 7, I would never be able to go full volume as the distortion would start really early when I turned it up.
So now that you dont need the remote wire, what flash did you tell the dealer to do and how much was it?
