The Polk MM571's (5"X7") did not fit into the Saddle Bag Speaker Lids for the 2014 SGS. I had to cut out a lot of the basket, and the 4 mounting holes on the speakers did not line up with the mounting holes on the lids.
Just thought I would post this so other 2014 SGS people would be aware.
I was a little disappointed in HD this weekend. I bought the 2014 Saddle Bag Speaker Lids and the HD Speaker Grills and neither came with screws for attaching grills.

Just FYI, I installed J&M saddlebag speakers "Plug and Play"
I had to cut a 3" opening in basket and relocate/drill the 2 forward mounting holes.
JR ,,, you are correct ,,,, the basket molded into the Harley 2014 saddlebag lids is soo shallow that even the relatively small Noedymium magnet on the J&M ROKKER XX 5X7" speaker is too deep ,,,,,,, so the basket must be drilled ,,,,
My 14 limited is in the shop now having a clutch cable replaced. I hope to get it back tomorrow and I will then begin my Biketronics install. Can I have Harley flash the radio tomorrow for the Two amp setup before I install my system? Or should I wait till all the work is done. It would be nice to have it done while it being worked on. Thanks for any advise!
I just installed the Rockford Fosgate Power T400x4ad amp and Hybrid Audio (HAT) Imagine 6.5's in the faring and the HAT 5x7's in the speaker lids. You do have to cut most of the basket on the bag lids to accommodate the magnets and only 2 out of the 4 mounting holes line up. Luckily the mounting holes on the bags are across and opposite of each other and just using two screws, its tight. The 6.5's mount perfect in the pods, just sand down the mounting nub on the pod and use the Boom grills. System is loud and crystal clear, no flash done.
Well, I am going to pull the trigger and do a upgrade on new street glide. I first bought the boom audio when I purchased the bike. Don't waste your money on this, It looked like something I purchased at toys r us when I opened the box.
I am going with Arc Audio KS125.4 amp and Focal KRC 165's for the front and Focal 5x7's for the back. I will let you guys know how it sounds when done. Reason-I was at a bike show and heard this system in a custom street glide and I have never heard anything better. I know everyone has opinions but the clarity at high volume was unreal!
Pioneer.. It does. It was chaffing on inner fairing. I noticed it when I put new bars on it. Harley just called and it turns out I'm just an idiot though. While the cable had been rubbing on inner fairing it wasn't leaking. It was just the nut that connects the cable to the leaver housing was loose! Cable has been rerouted and should be fine now.
Per my question, I had them flash the radio to the two amp setup while it's there. I should get my BT4180 and Titan II speakers today!! Looking forward to getting it all installed before the Laughlin run in 2 weeks. I will see if John will let me put it side by side with his at the J&M trailer? That could get interesting.
