In the diagnostic menu, which I found in order to do a factory reset of the HU, which does no undo any installed software updates unfortunately, there is a an option to change EQ settings. Does anyone have a chart of the various EQ settings listed or know where to find one?

How did you get to the EQ settings?

To anyone with a Rockford PBR300X2. If you want to have the radio flashed for an AMP you have to connect the remote power. After they flash the radio there isn't enough of a signal to turn on the amp. I connected that and had them flash it for (Speakers: 2 Speakers/1 AMP and Options: 1 AMP). Now I have no distortion at full volume. Thanks to scarin for that solution.

Glad you were able to figure it out.

Where did you connect the remote Amp power to? I believe Harley sells a splitter that comes from the antenna to do this. Did you use this or something different?

Cheers

Jmjohn,
I don't think anyone has an issue with the quality of your amplifier nobody has said that. I think some people have issue with your speakers because in multiple speaker setups they have to be ran in series instead of in parallel. The gentleman from Biketronics has never said anything bad about your product at all so I don't know why you're suggesting that he come on the forum to explain anything. I'm not sure why you feel anyone is relying on paper specs to support the Biketronics products. Besides that, don't your amps have paper specs / birth sheets to go by? I have used your products... I have used their products. I like theirs better. MANY people have told you why they prefer the Biketronics products and asked why you don't match these thing and you ignore the question, wait a few posts and say your stuff is the best. Those things are.... 1.) the fact that the Biketronics stuff is made in the USA, 2.) And this is the biggest one THEY HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY!!!!!! In this thread alone I have seen a couple of people ask you why you don't offer that. You don't say anything in reply. So I would say to you. Offer people a lifetime warranty and see how much confidence it inspires. I don't think you can because you don't manufacture your own product and and as a reseller it would be too costly. If that is the case then tell people that and accept that Biketronics has a better warranty than you and further accept that in a forum where people come together to share information and ideas on where to get the best bang for their buck those people are gonna compare the fact that you have an inferior warranty to another product that is cheaper and has a spectacular performance history. I think it speaks loudly that you have not called out Rockford or Alpine users. It kinda says to me that you consider the Biketronics stuff in the same category with your arc stuff. I mean no disrespect to you. You have a long distinguished place in motorcycle audio but I'm offended by you suggesting I'm going by paper specs instead of my 20 years in mobile electronics industry. I wish we were closer to one another because I would love to do a sound quality comparison between some of my 8 and 10 speaker Biketronics setups and your Rokker setups. I bet they both sound amazing! Again no disrespect but it is a recurring thing and you ought to address it. Again the biggest issue is the WARRANTY. Do you intend to offer a lifetime warranty on your amplifiers? Period. Thanks for the reply in advance and your sponsorship of this forum. I use lots of your other products so this is not personal It'd just like for you to address the warranty issue and maybe instead of asking the Biketronics people to come on here and say why they are the best please explain why specifically and factually they are not. Continued success to you my friend!

There was an aux power connector behind the gauges I taped into.

Sent from my stone tablet.

Crazy, thanks for do doing the legwork and confirming the correct setup. Just added my remote power wire and tapped same place as Crazy, took her in and had her flashed and bye bye distortion. Now I have the sound system I wanted.
