"If HD can't figure out their own BA Stage 1 and Stage 2 proper flashes without breaking something else then I guess the answer to your question would be a resounding no. It's a clusterf*ck to say..."
"$2495!!! For boom audio crap?
your buddy has more money than sense!"
Nice talk.... but don't take it personnel.
it sure did. wanna see the PMs I received on that one? Dude get a life or better yet go to your Mile High dealer and talk with your tech about how great you both are.
LOL, you are funny. "do ya wanta see my pm's.... Dude"
But thanks, they are a great dealer, sales staff is great, parts people are very helpful, service always does a fantastic job and the owner is a really nice guy. Good God you are at the end of the world... well, if you're every going through Colorado shOOt me a pm and we should get together and bring your bike so we can get everything working correctly.

Have actually been to the Aurora store a couple of times and yes you're right.. good people. Haven't met the owner but have talked to a couple of techs there and just like many other HD techs, they do know what they're doing.
HD wouldn't know what to do with my bike I'm afraid. Over 2000 w of top notch audio and I wouldn't let them touch it anyways; That has nothing to do with your dealer, that's a blanket statement for all dealers.
Hope you realize this is all in fun.. nothing personal.
Love a good chat..So with that being said.. If your dealer can assist with the flash it would be gratefully appreciated.because I have tried many combinations and that what Rockford Fosgate suggested and others..but the EQ is still on at some point. ..low output sitting still but really sucks riding...it has to be a certain way to do the flash settings not just what we set them at..because I have set mind like other and no results. .somebody somewhere does know the answer. and I don't care where they're at ! As long as they shares the information.
Thanks for any suggestions from your dealer. .

I don't know what my dealer would say, I should ask, but just wondering if the AVC (auto volume control) has any effect on this happening. Does the AVC just increase volume at speed or do they have it doing something beside just increasing the volume. It may bring the EQ, as you say, back in. When all is done it may be that you either go with all Harley components (HU, Amp, spkr) or trash your HU and go completely aftermarket, or buy a real nice pair of ear buds. I will be in the thick of it now that I have my misfitting 62.11i speakers installed and my new amp gets here. My amp rack got here today along with the wire set, so now I wait. It's snowing I think I'll do a little skiing while I wait. If you did toss you HU what aftermarket brand would you go with?
I bought some aftermarket lids for my 2014 SGS that accept 6x9 speakers. I figured i would hop on the old forum, and find out which way to go with amps, speakers, and such.
I read the start of the thread, and flashing was cool. Fast forward,,, and flashing sucks. Ok. Got that,,,, no flashing. Also, at the start of the thread, boom audio was over priced junk. That has not changed.
After lots of reading, I'm not sure weather to crap or wind my watch.
UltraNutz, is there an aftermarket stereo shop that has a good reputation, that you would advise me to call?
I will call them. Ask, "what do I need?" And then buy it, install it, and go riding.
They are "hand laid fiberglass", and have a diagonal step across the top. I just looked again, and could not find the brand name. They are usually $299 to $325, and it says they were designed to fit Polk 691 speakers. I got them for $200, shipped. I intend to have vinyl covers made, so I wont paint them.
Do you guys recommend the Harley wiring harness? Or is there an aftermarket harness that is recommended?

Man I wish I had a valid answer for you but at this moment I do not. If you've never had your head unit flashed or software updated then I think it would be a safe bet to use the magic box although in my mind I can't possibly imagine what this thing is doing with "static" internal crossover components when the equalization of these head units changes as you get moving. We're all scratching our heads at this point.
The only real solution I have at this point is not what most want to hear.
