I upgraded to PBR300X2 and Polk MM651. Lots of distortion. Had dealership flash for amp. No distortion and great sound.

Understand that, I have no distortion on mine unless I run that gain at some crazy level.
You also thought the remote wire was the problem solver when it turns out that had nothing to do with it? So maybe the flash has nothing to do with it either. That's all I am saying.

to the OP - I would hold off on the flash until after your setup is installed. If you don't like the sound, then have it flashed. There are literally 100 threads floating around and 50% say the flash was worth it, 50% say it made the audio worse. This is all on aftermarket equipment, not Boom Audio crap.
