Front fairing plan: 7.1's first... 6x9's...90 seconds after they're available for sale unless I can order em faster than that! Lol

Thanks to both of you for the Biketronics update I was gonna call this week so you saved me the trouble. This is good news and good new of things to come! If I could get 6x9's in the front fairing and 6.5 Biketronics in the lowers I might not even install the 6x9 deck lids when they come out........................ No, Nevermind I still will!!!!!!

Hopefully their solution to this won't be that far off. Last I spoke with bill they were trying to decide if they would be develop and manufacturing new pods altogether or figuring out if a spacer would suffice to allow larger speakers to fit. What I took from the conversation was that they were leaning towards coming up with new pods that would fit the 7.1s. My only is with this is I hope they plan on allowing you to retain the passenger controls as I use my com and cb.

Question Is This system not very good

Excuse my ignorance,,, I am in the process of purchasing a 2014 SGS, Besides all the new upgrades from my 2005 one of the other reasons in going from a RKC is for the music-- Am I going to be disappointed? I've heard it in the store but not on a ride, What can I expect

I would explain it like this... if you are the kind of person who buys a car and is happy with the factory sound and never thinks of changing out the speakers to get something more crisp or robust then it will probably be fine for you. Its not terrible but it's muddy at highway speeds. Making changes can make it even clearer with richer bass, really add a new dimension to the music. It's easier to make out what people are saying despite the wind at 80mph. It also doesn't hurt your feelings for someone to say dang man that sounds unbelievable or holy crap was that your bike I heard? It's all a personal preference thing but once you hear the difference is hard to stay factory. At least for me. That's all just my opinion but I hope it helps.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it would work with lots of different amps!

I installed the Rockford PBR300X2 amp and Polk MM651 speakers in my 2014 FLHXS. The amp is wired to the existing front fairing speaker outputs. Out of the amp goes to the cross overs and then to the speakers. I took my bike to the dealer to flash the radio for 2 speakers/1 amp but after they did they I didn't have any sound. They tried it twice with the same results. Has anyone else experienced this? I only have the two speakers so I don't have any fader settings to check. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey This is crazy,
This info is on post number 235 of this thread but I'll post it here again. I don't think you need to flash because Harley doesn't have it figured out yet.

don't worry about the Harley Flash ! ,,,,, and if it has already been done ,, UN-DO IT ,,,,, have the dealer flash it back to no-amp mode ,,,,,,

then add whatever amplifier you want to, ,
