Hey John. I had the cb turned off. The GPS was on but not programmed with any info. I thought it was maybe the cell phone getting msgs and maybe the FM antennae was not properly grounded which is why I tried the thumb drive. Still cutting out occasionally.
I'm surprised the service writer didn't have an answer since his 2014 was doing it too. I'll get it looked at as soon as the weather gets a little better.
even though the GPS not programmed with any info ,,,, that is still the most likely the culprit ,,,, took me two hours to figure mine out and shut the damn thing off completely to stop the cutting out of my radio on my own 2014 Ultra LTD ,,,,

To polyfil or not to polyfil that is the question?
Seen comments here saying yes and no. Looking for an answer specifically for a 2014 SGS.
Thanks
I used the polyfil cuz everyone was recommending it then MontyCop took his out said he had better results if I had to do it again I would probably leave it out but theres no way I'm pulling those freakin pods again to remove it lol.
John. could you please give me advise on how to turn the GPS off. I probably won't be using it for awhile. also any suggestions on the best way to streaming music. I'm still catching up on computer smarts. Thanks
I ride 90% of the time solo. Two potential upgrade options that I aware of is to
1 - replace/upgrade all 4 stock speakers (fronts and tourpack) and add a 250W amp to power the fronts only. This was recommended based upon the rider only hearing the front speakers once you are at highway speeds (I haven't spent enough time trying to verify this so not sure if this is true or not).
2 - Upgrade the 4 speakers and add a larger amp to power all 4. This will cost more than option 1.
I don't want to spend the extra $'s if I don't have to but I also don't want to shortcut myself and regret it in a few months that I should have installed the larger amp. I'm not looking to blow out the windows of the guy driving behind me. I just want to be able to have some decent sounding music at 70 - 80 when touring.
If you are changing out all 4 speakers anyways, get the 4 channel amp. The price difference between a 2 channel and 4 channel is about $100 or so. If you decide later that you should have went with a 4 channel after buying a 2 channel then it gets expensive.
Hey JMJohn-- I figured out how to shut off GPS as well as everything else. I rode all day today and the radio never ever cut out. Not even one time. That seem to be the problem. Thanks for the help.
