I have been following the audio forum and building my system for 2 years. When alot of folks had problems with their polk mm651's i started looking for an inexpensive alternative and have found them. Today i installed a pair of jbl p662's in my lowers and am amazed. The specs looked great but i could not believe my ears, they are 2 ohm and i had to turn the gain down on my ss pn4-520 because they put out so much clean sound. At $80 you sure cant beat them. I also would reccomend useing foam baffles on any lowers or they sound boomy
system as it is now; ss pn4-520 powering rf fairing speakers and jbl lowers
sspn2-350 powering pioneer ts-d6902r's
mounted in saddlebags (NOTE-SADDLEBAG SPEAKERS FACING THE REAR WHEELS ARE GREAT FOR PARKING LOT BUT NOTHING ELSE)

Yes.installed the amp in the bottom of the left bag and built my own mounting system for the speakers with marine plywood. The pioneers face the rear wheel and each other. Then i added polyfill and an ads plastic false bottom and enclosure for the speakers. I have a few pictures but need to find them. Sorry. The sound when you close the lids is as if the saddlebag was tuned for that speaker. Great bass, no rattle, but hear them only when parked

Can't remember who posted it, but in the past couple of weeks somebody on here asked about where in the bags to mount their 6x9's and they didn't want to do lids. I tried talking them out of it, but he was adamant about installing them facing the tire. I hope they read your post before they install them.

It is great in the parking lot but i would have gone to lids except for the expense of good lids and paint. It is fun to have all that sound. I have added another photo of side of saadlebag before i cleaned up the shape. Everything was done when a router and templates i precut

Yea. Could have done all the little holes but had a different idea. Mainly wanted to reccomend the jbl p662 speakers. I am going to replace the rockford speakers in the fairing also. the jbl's are not as bright with the adjustable tweets and i like that
