I haven't gotten my new SGS special yet but I am planning on doing some mods including changing out the speakers and adding an amp. I am by far a superb wrench but will do the install. I am also thinking about adding the XM module, part #76000351. Does anyone have the install instructions that they can post so i can see what is involved in it. Thanks very much.
I don't have the instructions but to my knowledge;
pull your fairing cap off
mount the antenna bracket
stick the antenna to it
unscrew the metal plate off the back of the radio and take it off
slide the module into the bay and screw it back down
plug your antenna into it
turn radio on and you should be good to go for activation.
That's my concern which is the placement of the module. I am installing a Arc amp. Amp usually goes on top of radio. Will both fit or do I need to find another place for amp. Thanks for the help.
Ultra... that is quite helpful abd I thank you. It doesnt appear that I should have dealer do the install. seems pretty straightforward and good to know that the amp wont be an issue.
