I have a dual coil 6" sub that i want to play around with that's rated at 1.2 ohms. Are there any available amps that will drive this sub? thanks for the input guys...
I currently have a pbr300x2. So instead of running a channel 2 each coil just run a single channel to both? So would that basically put 2.4 ohms to the amp which is within spec?

That's what I would do. You're going to have problems finding a 1 ohm stable 2 channel amp with that low of wattage. Unless you find the Sony branded amp that was installed in whatever Ford car that speaker came out of.
Just make sure you run the coils in series and not parallel.
