Got my new Alpine 149 hooked up and it sounds amazing...Really is better than the old HK OEM deck.
My issue is I am using the Biketronics Wiring Harness and I am unable to get the hand controls working. I have the L shaped plug placed into the decks REM hole which is supposed to be the steering wheel control yet nothing. Any tricks or steps I missed? I'll try calling Biketronics after work, but I was hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
makes 2 thinking the same...
check the dial - Assume you did buy the BT2005, right?
Set the little "dial" to 3 (Alpine)
Also double check if you plugged in the 3.5mm remote jack of the BT into the deck nicely... half in WILL cause issues (guess how I know )

good luck.
I don't have the "dial" model. I ordered what was advertised as the the "universal" kit. Had to splice power, ground etc. since the Alpine did not have a matching connection. I have the BT1002. It has no dial.

O.K. I think I discovered my own dumb *** move. The 1002 appears to be a Sony harness...When I read the Ebay description it sounded like the 1002 could be use with other decks, but now I realize the 1005 with the rotary dial is designed for multi brands. Oops.
