That looks really good, nice clean look. I really like the Vtwin kit but I feel the gloss/polished look would stand out to much on my 99RG since the inner is just matte black.

I would love to go with the 7.1 but i thought that the 6.5 is the only one that will fit in the 2014 speaker box. I was hoping something would come out of the VTwin show that might allow them to fit. I need to call BT

Yea, well that's fine and dandy alright. However, you seem to be comparing your system to what in your town? Exactly. Now, on the other hand, come on down here to Atlanta where we have REAL motorcycle stereo systems and try that again. I guarantee that your bike would be drowned out by bikes from at least a half a mile further away from you. That's a fact jack! And my bike just so happens to be one of them. Guess what speakers I have on mine? I can say that some J&M Rokkers reside in a few places. No disrespect brother...but a stock Harley sound system can be heard a half a block away. Try being heard over your pipes, riding down I-20 doing about 80 mph and the riders next to you can sing along with your tunes. Try turning up hip hop and r&b music that contains nothing but lows and mids that hit HARD to THE MAX and let me know how that works for you. Highs are easier to get right than lows and mids. The Rokkers just so happen to fall in line with the other speakers I have. In fact, they sound so good and clear that I had to send back the other stuff that I hooked up to my bike last weekend because they couldn't hold their own. That's called loud and clear.

Not knocking anyone or any specific speaker on this forum, but I do have to stand up for the Rokker speakers. ONCE THEY ARE ADJUSTED PROPERLY, they are hard to beat. And as far as that price? Yea, it's a little high I will admit. But, try this...when you destroy one of your speakers that are not from J&M, try calling the owner of the company that makes them and mentioning that YOU THE CONSUMER damaged your own speakers, and let me know how that works out for you. I didn't say try and get another pair, I said MENTION during a normal question to the owner that you destroyed one of your speakers, and let me know how that works. Sometimes one cannot put a price on customer service AND service/communication AFTER THE SALE. Rain, sleet, hail, heat, wind, kids, dog, 15k+ miles, etc. and my J&M Rokker speaker and amp sound just as good as they did from day one. And now the Rokker amp is powering a pair of 6.5s and a set of tweeters and the sound is AMAZING. That my friend is called Real world, first hand experience from me. Now...let me get back to adding the other 8 speakers to my Harley. Riding season and bike nites and trophies are right around the corner. Rock on...

Very interesting.. Didn't realize Hotlanta was the only place in the US allowed to have "REAL motorcycle stereo systems"

I guess all the rest of us across the US are simply ignorant to "REAL motorcycle stereo systems"

Geez.. ok your c*ck is bigger...

Besides.. I thought you were running all of this stuff?

No No No, Like I said, no offense given to anyone or anything. Im just speaking from experience (I hate when people talk about things that they have no experience with). And in that thread, I didnt mention that I already have Rokker speakers on my bike in two locations. That stuff is getting added on in addition to what I already have. The last time I was in the audio section, I spoke about the MM691s being put in my bags. Well, when I put them in the bags, they sounded like a** when turned up. So, I returned them and went with the Pioneer D6902s that GP mentioned that have such heavy bass (he actually mentioned an old part number, but these are the exact same speaker according to Pioneer, just with a different part number). Those were in place of the polks and the Rokker bag woofers (I was going with those originally but heard a nice setup using twin 6x9s in the bags and decided to do that instead of going with the rokkers that I never heard before). So, to sum it all up, I will have 4 6x9s, 2 6.5s, Rokkers, and extra tweeters, and another amp (JL xd400/4). Not saying that my system is the best or that Atlanta is the only place with "real" systems, but I know for sure that a bike with just 4 speakers would be embarrassed during one of the bike nites. Usually, it doesn't matter who has what and such, but the poster made an effort to talk about how his system made heads turn from a half a block away. I wanted to let him know that there are systems here that can do the same from a half MILE away, for a lot less money. No pissing contest, just making a comment.

Well just so I'm clear on what specifically my point was...

The whole first part of that comment could have simply been left out and say your good graces for J&Ms product instead of bashing someone else's taste in equipment and sound as that's certainly how I interpreted it.

No harm, no foul..

Half mile away, eight football fields, i'm thinking you blow more hot air than your speakers. I'm just saying my system sounds excellent and I am very satisfied with it. And yes, I have heard Rokkers, I have no issue with them but like BTs better.
