Do you have the stock pods? Any issues/tips to mounting the KSC67s? While you're at it can you refresh me on your current setup? I currently have a pair of J&M 5 1/4 " speakers HURK-5252GTMXTC in the pods being driven by the stock CVO boom amp mounted under my tourpak, and while they sound good, I'd like to get some more bass in the rear. I don't want to put speakers in my bags so I'm looking for some other options like the Kickers. I notice the KSC67s are 4 ohm vs. the J&Ms 2 ohms so I wonder if they will work as well with my current amp. Another option for me could be to put the boom port in my tourpak but I don't have any experience if that will help much with the bass?

you won't get the power you need out of that boom amp, plain and simple. I know that's not what you want to hear but is what it is.

caviar and rahman noodle comparison with that boom amp

Nutz Pretty much summed it up in a "Nutz shell" lol . . . The "stock" boom amp is useless. Invest in a Fosgate PBR300X2 or a Sound Stream 520.D . . . The kickers fit perfectly in the pods. all you need to do is drill 4 holes to fit the 6.5 footprint. The boom port is another Harley Davidson Gimmick IMO. I know a couple guys who had that thing installed and my kickers have twice as much bass.

looking at thiel small parameters for a typical 6.5" coax speaker, they usually call for between a .10 and .25 cu ft of air space. Porting a .15 cu ft rear pod into a 3.8 cu ft tourpak is futile at best.

Thanks for the input. I really didn't want to cut into my tourpak.
