I guess what I actually need is to know what wires to connect where and so forth. I have the amp installed and power / ground wires ran but the actual wiring is what I need help with. The written instructions I have found are confusing and may as well be written in Arabic.
cut the RCA jacks off the amp input harness.
that leaves you a grey and grey/black wire and a white and white/black wire as your inputs
the speaker wires that are currently plugged into your stock speakers are
right (sitting on bike)
grey/red stock wire goes to the grey wire on the amp
black/green stock wire goes to the grey/black wire on the amp
left (sitting on bike)
white/brown stock wire goes to white wire on amp
white/green stock wire goes to the white/black wire on the amp
the output harness on the amp has the same color wires
grey/black goes to your new right speaker (sitting on bike) - terminal
grey goes to your new right speaker + terminal
white/black goes to your new left speaker (sitting on bike) - terminal
white goes to your new left speaker + terminal
Thanks for the reply. Satchmo and I finished this installation today (took several weeks to get back together) and followed your wiring instructions and it worked perfectly.
When we fired it up, it worked great, sounded great, and was just what he wanted!
