stereo install kit?
Finally got the ball rolling. I just ordered the Biketronics BT7P1. Only doing two speakers so I figured start with them. I've got the Scosche HD700B install kit and the PAC SWI-RC in my cart and I'm debating on the head unit. Are these two the recommended budget install and steering control kits? I noticed the Metra kits for about the same $. Which are the better way to go?
cannot speak for the PAC... have been looking into the Axxess / Metro (total 70-ish via brazilian forrest / flea bay) as I do not use AVC after all (got BT1005 right now - but would like a mute option
).
the Axxess/Metro is ALMOST plug and play (1 wire cut is needed). Not sure about PAC. quickly looked on the web, and seems like you will need to splice into Bike Harnass...
I would say Axxess (you can program it too and comes with, as far as I can see, a nice Din radio bracket WITH rubber seal.
probably someone here will

When I installed my alpine 149bt, I used the scosche kit but I used the axxess aswc-1 steering wheel control. Aswc-1 has auto programming for the controls and was easy to install. I think the pac swi you have to program each function on your controls.
Thanks guys. So it sounds like the axxess and Metra are the better choice. Anybody else have any recommendations? I'll be doing some more research and probably order on Monday.
