Default Grounding a Biketronics BT2180

My BT2180 amp and 7.1" Pro Line speakers should be here on Monday. The bike is stripped down and ready for the install.

In anticipation, I was reading over the instructions. They state to ground to the triple tree. However I've always read that the best grounding point on a bike is directly to the batter (or additional fuse block that I have installed).

What do you guys think is the best way to ground it?

Since running power wire anyway I ran ground to battery as well when I installed my 2180 last week.

Looking at the pictures, the wire doesn't look long enough. What gauge wire did you use?

I grounded mine to the triple tree, works great. However I did ask them to send another piece of 10ga wire in case I decided to ground to battery. When talking with BT they said try grounding to TT first because it'd helped with clarity.

Remove HU and you'll see and have great access to TT factory ground....top R. side, facing bike.

to the battery

use the same ga wire as used for the battery + wire.

BT uses 14AWG for both power & ground. I picked up a 6' piece at my local car audio shop & cut to fit.
