hook them into the front speaker wires. The power they get from the HU will be more than enough. Take the guess work out of it. Also, no fabrication required. Just remove the two each nuts holding on the guages and pop these in their place and put the two nuts back on. Hook up the wires to your speaker wires and thats it. I didnt think Hogtunes would make their product so difficult to deal with.

I have a 2009 FLHT that only came with the fuel/voltmeter gauge. I swapped those to the lower, empty gauge holes and put my component tweeters in the upper holes. I thought about using other tweeters in the HT tweeter pods but than it just becomes even more of a $$ project. I'm just keeping an open mind and am in no real hurry although I'll have the fairing apart soon for my speaker lid wiring...

Okay, well if your components are doing you justice, then the only other option is to replace them with something else. You can try running them directly off the amp, but I tried that with a pair of Infinity tweeters and it sounded like crap. That was the reason I gave the rokker tweeters a try.

Naaa.. I'm very happy with my Focal components, but was just thinking about more sound that may have been gained by the higher positioned tweeter pod. I'm 6'3" so the speakers are a bit below me
