I have a 14 Limited and a buddy of mine with a 14 street glide owes me some scratch for work I did for him. He is broke so he offered to give me his saddlebag speaker set up. Lids speakers and wiring harness. My question is he said that it is plug and play with the ultra and I don't need an amp. is that true? I know all about the aftermarket stuff being better but this is free and I don't want to have to buy an amp if I don't have to because I am going to upgrade the system at some point but for now free is better. The stereo on mike bike is factory stock..
He could be using a set of 5x7 and running off the rear channel of the stereo after getting flashed.
LOL. . . Who and the hell runs 5 x 7's in the Lids? WTF!! Just Kidding! I know a lot of guys who actually have that set up. But every last one of em are looking for more. Especially after they hear my Pioneers thumping with my new amp.
My assumption was the system was "stock" which would be the Boom audio package which houses 5x7. Yes they suck and have no comparrison to yours Gannicus.

Just yanking your chain a little fourwheelin! My point was if the guy owes you money. . . GET the money for your future upgrade. Don't waste your time with the Boom stuff. "FREE" is not better in this case.
I knew you were. I completely agree get the money.
