1) Are +/- matching from headunit to speakers? Meaning are your speakers in phase?
2) Make sure amp is set to AP
3) Set amp to about 5.5 or 6 to start with
4) Use something with good overall sound to test/setup with. IE not rap, not pop, not new R&B. Something with good mix of bass and treble and not over compressed.
Starting with those you should be able to see some improvement
Man I sure hope so !!! Thank you

Didn't forget about you Satch. . .Had to crash for a few. Elgigante has given you some great advice. If still no improvement. Let me know and we'll get together and figure it out!
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
- wrap those 7.1" in polyfil. 3 thin layers on each speaker. you can get this from Walmart
- battery and ground cables. make sure both are going directly to the battery
- make sure your crossover switch is set to AP (All Pass). When set in this position, the freq **** is disabled by design.
- make sure that the speaker wires coming from your head unit are matched to those going into the amplifier. meaning make sure R+ from the head unit is going to R+ on the input of the amp, same with left side
- then make sure that the same thing applies from the amp to the speakers.
If you get the polarity wrong on 1 input or 1 speaker, it will make the whole system sound like crap.
Head unit to amp connections:
Stock RF+ (green/black) goes to grey wire on input of amp harness
Stock RF - (grey/red) goes to grey/black wire on input of amp harness
Stock LF + (white/orange) goes to white wire on input of amp harness
Stock LF - (white/green) goes to white/black wire on input of amp harness
Amp to speaker connections:
grey wire to right speaker +
grey/black wire to right speaker -
white wire to left speaker +
white/black wire to left speaker -
Something to keep in mind also. Any speaker that is sold as a Harley "replacement speaker" is going to have it's + and - terminals reversed from that we are all used to dealing with on car audio. Harley in all their infinite wisdom has the small terminal on the speaker as the + instead of - like on every other speaker in the world.
