Default cv conversion on 85 evo

I have an 85 softail that I am about to convert over to cv carb. I purchased an air cleaner setup off ebay for a 96 softail. It is real clean and am trying to keep the factory look. I am using the factory black plastic backing plate and wanted to know if any one has done this and what they used to attach the backing plate to the heads? Did you make some kind of spacer with a shoulder to deep set an allen cap screw so you could still use the rubber breather bolt covers or rubber round disc to cover the backing plate mounting bolts? I don't want to use an aftermarket breather. The bike is stock, looks new and I have had it since new and it's my putter. I have other bikes to go fast on so no need for speed. Just like lookin good. To me nothing looks better than original evos. Just my opinion.

Just compare what you bought to a parts book for a bike that came with a CV
