I think alot has to do with the state you live in................I had no trouble at all to title.......................Insurance was easy but could not get full coverage thru the same people that insure my bob.......had to add seperate theft and fire..............but overall was a very easy process...................LOLIFE................

Keep your paper work in line as you build . You will probably have to put a few iteams on the bike to make it pass and remove them later . I had to put a speedo on my custom to get it to pass . As soon as it did I yanked it of . Take a trip to your DMV and talk to the inspector so your are as informed as possible before you start . If it is your first it could save you a lot of headache and time .

thanks, it will be my first and I will do that!

What do I ask them, just what I absolutely have to have to make it legal? Not sure I would want to run without a speedo? or a tach?

Your local DMV should have a package for "Assembled by Parts". You may be able to find information and download the forms from their website. Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Some states you need to be a manuacturer. They could possibly change your vin and create a manufacturers title. for a price of course.

It all depends on what state you are dealing with. In Illinois there are hoops to jump thru but over all the processis not bad , as stated earlier just be sure to haveyour paper work in order. The insurance thing must be an issue in Michigan at least. I had an individual there interested in buying my bike but he couldn't get it insured. I would check with my agent before hand toget a feel ontheir thoughts.

Anyone from FL know any info? Just picked up an ol' Iron Head, and I'm wanting to transplant it an FRC roller frame.
