Here is a project that we took part in. The builder told us to make everything look old. We made the seat and the holster to hold the double barrell sawed off shotgun. The bike was built for the Georgia Sheriffs assoc. for a raffle. I was just wondering if everyone could give some input on what ya think.
Yes, but it is welded shut and the firing pins are taken out. The chotgun also has a Georgia Sheriffs association badge on the stock. Everyone I talked to said it would be ok. I guess they might ask questions, but no trouble.
The bike was built for a raffle, but I believe the bike is insured for $50,000. There were a lot of donated parts and materials for the bike, so the Sheriffs association only paid 15 grand to have it built. All I did was the leather work, which I donated 100%. So, dont quote me on the exact figures for the whole bike. I recieved a donation receipt from the Sheriffs association for $500. That was for the holster and seat.
Thats a very nice and neat looking bike. I really like the shotgun gun holster and the whole concept. Hope it brings some good coin into the Sheriff's Association.
Thank you, all of the folks who worked on the bike really appreciate any remarks towards the bike. All the money will be put towards the Georgia Youth Homes, who have homes around the state of Georgia for boys that come from bad homes. All of us who worked on it really hope it helps out in their cause. Thanks for the thumbs up on the shotgun holster, we had a lot of fun making that. It was different making one for a motorcycle, and from what the Sheriffs have told me there is no legal issues with it. If it is a legal length shotgun or rifle its ok.
I hear that!! What do they usually call something like that? A peace maker? The shotgun is welded shut, but a person that gets road rage and wants to cause a fuss wont know that!!
