tank is just at it base coat. it has 2 shades of red and 2 more coming as well as flat black and air brush and flat clear over it, has a long way to go
ok here are some cell pics... the paint work was done by our shop painter Joe... he also did Seans (my busn partners) camaro, does a wicked job so we had him work his magic on the platics as well... he is insane with paint!!!!
you will notice the fuel door is no longer 2 parts it is now one solid piece with a zeus connector for the door (like you use on the hood of a race car) looks much better and allowed the lines on the tank to be as clean as possible!
but here is the paint work!
also... bear in mind this matches the powder work to the T! going to be so sick... should have a roller by the end of the week if we can sneak in some time to knock out the wheels! going to do a bunch more work on her tonight
here is some more pics of this weekends labors ... wheels have one more bake time and they are done!!! then we can get a roller together! hell if we bust *** we may even get to fire it up this week!
shot the switch housings to match the Powder, they came out great but where still curing last night so i did not snap a pic, ill get a shot of them when i get back to the shop...
got the radiator back together, everythign is coated and the fan blades have been shot to match the frame, you will never really see them but if you do look... it will be done
carb intakes done and the clamps powdered
brakes
also the covers are done... if you scroll back a bit you can see where the base coat of flat black was laid on them... this is why, you will notice that the lettering is done in flat black powder and the red accents around it, trick details that make it stand out!
well base coat is on.. and finally finished the masking work! the raised lips of each part of the center has been shot red and the rest of the wheel black... then matching that thickness there is a stripe going all the way around teh lip of the rim (right in the crease) the whole wheel will then be coated... and will look awesome!
ok... slight change of plans... we decided that with the red calipers the red outter stripe was too much. so we ditched that, are redoing the front wheel right now... but here is the final rear, it is tough to see with the shop lights but all the raised areas on the com star is red to match the powder... came out so trick! just subtle that really makes these wheels pop!!!!
well... all of the powder is almost done... just a bit more left and that can wait till later once we get deeper into the build. last night i got the shop ready for re assembly set up the assembly table (there where so many parts i had to set up 2 tables)
tonight ill start putting parts on the frame, after i mask off the frame to protect it of course
but here are some more pics

That's going to look sooo good! Hey, how 'bout this... I'lll send you my wing, you send me that one. Of course I'd send along a check for, what's fair? $100? $150? Yeah, right. I'd probably have to add a zero, huh? Like Freddy Prinze (Sr.) used to say... Looking good!
