Default Questions for the detail experts....

Please, keep this real simple.

I have scratches, real fine ones in my black paint. Could you please explain, short and sweet what to do first, what to do second, etc, etc. Also, I see that a "Foam pad" is often recommended for scratch removal. Any suggestions as to where a person might get such a foam pad? What I want to know is, say, scratch remover first, hand glaze second, polish third, wax last. I bet that aint right, but you get the picture.

Thanks in advance.....

Polish first (easily avialble is ScratchX) with a MF applicator. If that doesnt totally remove then use a swirl remover (glaze) and then wax. Foam applicators for wax usually come with the wax. If not they can be bought anywhere that sells the products.
Polish to remove
Glaze (swirl remover) to cover'fill
Wax to protect

Thanks for the fast reply. I actually hit it right, accidentally did just like you said. I did however find that the Scratchx cleaned up all of my scratches, but when I attempted to glaze it, I actually introduced new scratches. I went back with the scratchx and removed them again, and just waxed over that with S100 pure carnuba wax. Looks like new now. I wonder what might have went wrong with the glaze part? Thanks again.....

Interesting....How did you apply and remove glaze...and..was did theglaze have a smooth consistancy? Normally scratches will be introduced by a dirty applicator ( was used for other products) or a cotton towel.

I may have mis stated that. They were not really scratches, but more like witness marks from the microfiber cloth. A simple re-do with the scratchx and all was gone. The glaze(S) I tried were S100 cleanser, and HD glaze. I have used the 3M imperial before with mixed results. I think I have the process figured out now.
