No I haven't. I'm cautious about using products like that as folks have reported damage to finishes, etc. It appears that it rubs off with effort but getting between the fins is a pain. So, maybe something like S100 is what I need - I want to start with the most mild products first though.
I can provide a picture later, but yea it's just the black fins that are affected - inner and outer. Its on a sportster, so the entire fin area is black - no polished edge.

An all purpose cleaner will work, especially if able to get some off. Use one that is designed for automotive use. Most all companies make the. I buy it by the gallon and dilute it to what I need. Dont go crazy and spray it with full strength right away, if you are able to dilute it try what the manufacture suggest as the weakest strength first then move up as needed. Also you will some brushes. Lots to choose from and a wheel brush, barrel brush, could do the job.
